    01 · The moment

UK defence is prioritising uncrewed systems at volume. Procurement is increasingly favouring sovereign, UK-based manufacturing. British and allied producers have the proven designs; what Britain lacks is the industrial base to build them at scale.

Every producer faces the same choice: £40–50M and two years for a plant of its own, with no certainty of contracts to fill it, or no production at scale at all. No shared alternative exists.

Baring Defence provides the missing manufacturing layer: UK-owned, UK-operated, platform-agnostic production capacity for allied drone producers.

You keep the IP, brand and customer. We build and operate the factory.

    02 · The pledge

    We manufacture.
    We never design.

Producers keep their IP, brand, customers and capital. Baring provides certified sovereign capacity under licence, one facility every producer can safely share.

03 · Why producers build with Baring

    01

    IP neutrality

Baring owns no drone designs and never will. Each producer's build runs on its own segregated line, under its own data controls, with Baring accountable for quality and delivery. Competing producers can share one roof because none of them is sharing it with a competitor's manufacturer.

    02

    A production system

One facility, one quality system, one supply chain and one test infrastructure serving several platforms at once. Costs fall as volume grows across producers, and each unit costs less than the one before. Designed with EFESO, specialist manufacturing engineers.

    03

    Co-location with the MoD

Our site is an approximately 300,000 sq ft facility in Swindon, beside the MoD's Uncrewed Systems Centre at DroneTEX, Europe's largest drone test and development facility, where the military tests and fields uncrewed systems. Producers build a few minutes from the customer that will evaluate and accept their platform.

    05 · Register your platform

Tell us what you would build here.

Shared capacity gets built when enough producers say they need it. Registering your platform is the most useful thing you can do for your UK plans: a route to the UK market without the capex, a secure home for your IP, and first call on production slots. Registration takes a minute, is not a commitment and creates no obligation on either side. Your information is treated as private and confidential.

    07 · For investors

The Defence Investment Plan of June 2026 commits more than £5 billion to drones and autonomous systems over four years, and the Defence Industrial Strategy gives UK production a weighted advantage in awards. The designs exist. The capacity to build them at scale in Britain does not.

Baring Defence is raising its Phase 1 round to establish the Swindon facility. The company is led by its two co-founders and a COO with thirty years of plant leadership at Honda, Jaguar Land Rover and GE Aerospace.
