Mark Trowbridge

Mark has 34 years in manufacturing operations across automotive, aerospace and national infrastructure, 30 of them in automotive. He spent 20 years at Honda of the UK Manufacturing, which he joined in 1992 on the Swindon site where Baring’s facility is planned.

In 10 years at Jaguar Land Rover he led the design, build and industrialisation of the 323,000 sq ft Pilot Plant, a greenfield facility delivered early and under budget. It is more than three times the 100,000 sq ft that Baring’s Phase 1 occupies. At GE he was Accountable Manager for a safety-critical aerospace operation and rebuilt its regulatory standing. He holds a B Eng in Production Management.

Mark lives local to the site in Wiltshire. He has reviewed the plan and found its assumptions consistent with his experience. He is now setting the factory’s operating philosophy, the production system, the make and buy doctrine and the layout principles.
