Baring Defence appoints Mark Trowbridge as Chief Operating Officer

Baring Defence is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Trowbridge as Chief Operating Officer. Mark brings senior leadership experience across aerospace, automotive, national infrastructure, and regulated engineering environments, including senior roles at Jaguar Land Rover, GE Aerospace and Honda. He has a proven track record of establishing process stability, system integrity, and disciplined operational execution, built upon cultures providing a foundation of employee engagement and collaboration.

In his role as COO, Mark will lead the development of Baring Defence’s sovereign contract manufacturing capability, including its planned facility in Swindon, ensuring the company can industrialise and manufacture high-quality uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) for its customers at pace and scale. His expertise in automotive-lean discipline, platform industrialisation, and supplier development will be central to building a highly stable, predictable, and future-ready production environment, backed by world-class manufacturing engineering capability and a highly capable operations team.
